To the extent they think about it at all, consumers tend to approach long-term care insurance as an all-or-nothing proposition: either we go without, or we pay a lot of money for a policy that will cover all our future long-term care needs.
Yet product design has changed in recent years, and the policies issued today generally don’t offer unlimited lifetime benefits.
