The designers of your program deliberately assigned to me the subject, "These Times and Life Insurance." This was probably done because of a premonition that I still believe, as I have always believed, that legal reserve life insurance is, barring a few sinners, absolutely safe and sound, that it stands out preeminently as a financial institution of dependability, that it can come through any business depression, including this one, with flying colors, that no one connected with this or any other company of similar standing have any fear of the future along any essential line of the business, and that there is plenty of business which can and should be secured by now by those who have the initiative to go after it.
