A New Tax Code?
The Republican-controlled Congress is attempting to pass a generational reform of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 in the amount of time the House Ways and Means Committee (Ways and Means) of the 99th U.S. Congress needed to vote out a bill for consideration by the full House.1 In addition to the hurdle of time, there’s the hurdle of persuading the broad public.
