Dollar edges higher after landmark Fed rate hike

CHANGING TIMES: Exactly seven years ago, the Fed cut its key interest rate to almost zero because of deteriorating conditions in the economy and in financial markets. Long hinted at by Fed Chair Janet Yellen, the move signaled the beginning of the end of a period of extraordinary support for the USA economy in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis.
